Google sheets are the swiss army knife of computing.
Spreadsheets are still the first step most people will take into real problem programming. I agree with Mike James on that. Work in the cloud, add forms entry, a query language, community extensions and an API and you have a very powerful tool for data analysis, graphing, and prediction. Lets explore, and see how far we get.

The Seniors Shared Interest Group started studying file management March 7th. Here are the notes from the first class and from the second class , third class. and 4th class. Please note, not all tasks were completed as shown.
File Management Part 4 March 28st will conclude photo management and exercises on directory creation.
Gord Collins has worked hard upgrading all our Lab computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10. Way to go & thanks Gord. Microsoft Office 2010 and Roots Magic have been installed, but very few other programs. You might consider using thumb drive versions of you favourite programs. Certainly don’t start installing your favorite programs on the Lab machines. We will have one computer in the back with Windows 7 installed on it.
When will you upgrade to Windows 10?? Though Vista is supported for another year, Google chrome will not be upgraded on computers with Vista. And the free upgrade to Windows 10 expires July 29th.
Take this poll as to when you will be running Windows 10.

If you are running Windows 7 and you will you get a new computer in a couple of years, there is no rush to upgrade.

LastPass is a common password manager.
Why show LastPass instead of, for instance, DashLane? Because LastPass is what I use. I haven’t much time to do comparative research on your behalf. In InfoWorld Scorecard, LastPass scored highest (see left graphic).
To use LastPass you need a memorable, strong master password. Kaspersky has a website where you can try out different passwords for strength. Then you can set up a LastPass account .
Managing passwords to your domain name account and website involves more than just long passwords and a password manager, especially in organizations. How do you ensure a smooth turnover? How do you balance ease of access with security?
