A dive into google sheets

Google sheets are the swiss army knife of computing.

Spreadsheets are still the first step most people will take into real problem programming. I agree with Mike James  on that.   Work in the cloud, add forms entry, a query language, community extensions and an API and you have a very powerful tool for data analysis, graphing, and prediction.  Lets explore, and see how far we get.

Twitter follow up

As promised,  here’s a link to the presentation viewable online via Google Presentations.

And here are a couple great links to Twitter tutorials – the GVPL recommends these two sites, GCF LearnFree and Techboomers, to patrons because they have a wealth of tutorials on a variety of different topics. Here are the links to their respective Twitter tutorials:

http://www.gcflearnfree.org/twitter101 and https://techboomers.com/p/twitter

Answers to two questions that came up during the presentation:

  1. Can you change the aspect ratio on Twitter? From what I can find, no
  2. Here is an explanation of muting Twitter users.

The GVPL does have a program feedback form on our website, if your group members would like to give GVPL some feedback on the demo.
